Race Engineering Services
Velocity Race Engineering aims to fill a hole within the current karting world, many of the teams being percieved as all the gear and no idea! Velocity Race engineering services provides all the required support a team / driver could require in terms of technical assistance. The Race engineering package includes:
- Complete Race Kart Engineering (i.e. setup, mechanical, engine and carb setup advice and maintainence and technical advice)
- Data analysis and presentation
- Development plans
- One on one technical tuition with drivers and mechanics
- Devlopment of driver feedback techniques
- Race tuition
At race weekends all team drivers partaking in the race engineering package have access to all required services at the track making the team fully capable of any job required during a race weekend. A debrief area will be used to discuss setups and give drivers the required tuition and tactic briefings.
During testing and racing comprehensive analysis of recorded data is carried out, data being processed by highly competent proffessional engineers. The prefered standard of data logging is the Aim Mychron 4 datalogging system. As part of the service full data analysis is carried out at the circuit as required and more in depth analysis carried out following the session using bespoke software packages such as the the highly regarded 'on track dyno' are used to extract the maximum out of the chassis, engine and driver package. Velocity's bespoke Carb tunning calculator, Mojo wet tyre predictor and seat position calculators are used to take away the guess work experianced in other teams.
Velocity Motorsport has good contacts with all engine tuners and chassis manufacturers ensuring that running with a privateer team is not a handicap and enables 'giant' killing possibilities, a trait which we pride ourselves on.
The team prides itself on not being flash but highly functional and this is what we believe leads to results along with the teams highly regarded processes and techniques.
