Velocity to take on the World - October 2009
After a successful 2009 season the Velocity team will be hoping to cap the year of with a World title. Junior Rotax driver Billy Albones 5th place in the Super 1 championship gained him qualification to the Rotax finals. This will be a major opportunity for Billy to show his talent on the world stage in the CIK Rotax supported event in Egypt.
The team is currenttly prearing for the event to be held in December. Billy and the team will have to quickly acclimatise to the conditons circuit and chassis for the event which all drivers will use the Maranello RS9. Velocity team members will be at the event in force trying to add to the Super 1 championship.
Velocity are British Champions - September 2009
After 3 years of gaining runner up and podium positions in championship the teams ambition finally came true with the team claiming the 2009 Bitish Super 1 Minimax championship victory. This was a fanatastic result for the teams Minimax Driver Nathan Harrison who was consistent throughout the season. The title also aded to the Southern Championship (SC plate) and Midlands Championship (MC) titles which Nathan also won this year.
Not only did the team win the main championship but it assisted Joe Byrne and Billy Albone in getting their best results in the championship to date. Billy Albones 5th in the championship gained him a place in the Rotax World Finals in Egypt. Joe Byrne has been fast all year suffer a few unfortunate accidents however he will be hoping to improve on his best ever 11th place championsip finish in 2010.
Team on form at Buckmore - June 2009
Velocity drivers were on fine form at Buckmore park showing the strength of the team in a challenging super 1 season. Nathan Harrison was fast throughout the weekend wining the first final with some fantastic driving, he was unlucky in the 2nd final to only finish second as the race was stopped (he was actually leading when the race was stopped but the result was put back by one lap). Fellow Minmax driver Joe Byrne showed his potential by consistently being one of the fastest drivers in the Minimax field and he took a well earned 5th position in both finals having been right up the front in both races.
Billy Albone showed his class in Junior max coming from 11th on the grid to finish third in the Junior max final. His start was classed as 'awesome' by all onlookers and he raced fantastically throughout.
The team would like to thank John Davies from Force Motorsport for assistance throughout the weekend and supporting us throughout this challenging period of the Rotax season.
The team now moves on to preparing for Larkhall in scotland where we hope to continue our good form.
Team carries out major test - June 2009
Velocity's drivers have recently been putting in the laps as the team tries to maximise its performance. With new regulations iminent (clutch and 09 Barrells) major test session have been carried out. The team has been working closely with Force Motorsport, this partnership will hopefully lead to improved performance in the upcoming races.
Byrne and Albone on Form at Buckmore - May 2009
Team drivers Joe Byrne and Billy Albone were on good form at the Buckmore park club meeting in May as they prepared for the Super 1 race in May. Both drivers showed strong pace with Joe easily wining the wet dry Minimax final.
Harrison Wins Super 1 round 1 at Whilton - Apr 2009
At the first round of the Rotax Super1 Minimax championship held at Whilton Mill Nathan Harrison drove superbly to take a well earned victory in both the first and second finals. The first final saw Nathan drive fantastically with an awesome overtaking move on the last lap to take the victory. In such a competitive field Nathan had driven with great maturity throughout the heats to qualify second on the grid for the final. The victory was all the more pleasent as Nathan was running in his Velocity Motorsport teams new colours which definately stood him out from the crowd! Velocity's other Minimax driver Joe Byrne battled hard having to work his way from the repercharge to finally come home in the mid pack, he will be one to watch as the season progresses and his experience grows.
Velocity Junior Drivers Bill Cowley and Billy Albone Showed well and made a strong start to their season, Albone should have been higher but for a collision in the main final. Cowley ran as high as fourth, both drivers seem to have the pace and should get ever stronger as the season progresses.
This meeting saw the Velocity drivers running in the new suit and bodywork colour scheme which caused quite a stir in the paddock!
Byrne and Albone win at Buckmore - Mar 2009
The Velocity team were present at the Buckmore Park club meeting to continue the pre-season testing. The team left feeling confident!
Minmax drivers Nathan Harrison and Joe Byrne both took a win a-piece with Joe taking the honours in the main final securing his first win for the team.
Harrsion 2nd in TVKC Winter Championship - Mar 2009
After several great results throughout the winter season Nathan secured 2nd in the TVKC championship with a strong drive to 4th at the recent PF club meeting. Fellow Minimax driver Joe Byrne showed his pace in the final coming from the back to finish 11th with the 3rd fastest time.
Harrison Wins at Whilton Warm up - Feb 2009
A great performance saw Nathan Harrison win the first serious race of 2009 beating RL driver Harrison scott in the process. The practise event for the first round of super 1 saw Nathan fast throughout the race and good heat results showed the young minimax drivers intentions. Joe Byrne also put in some strong performances showing his ever improving abilities.
The two velocity Junior drivers (Bill Cowley and Billy Albone) battled hard in the final after some disappointments in the heats there 4th and 5th place finish shows there is plenty of potential for another great season
New colours unveiled to team - Feb 2009

Team goes into association with Digital Deadline - Feb 2009
Velocity Motorsport's new racing image is going to be produced by awarding winning graphics company Digital Deadline, the move sees Velocity raising the stakes in its professional image.

Team takes delivery of 2009 Chassis - Feb 2009
The team has recently taken delivery of 2009 Tony kart racer EVR for its drivers. Velocity will use this to compete in the 2009 ABKC Rotax Super 1 National championship.
Albone signs completing 2009 line up - Feb 2009
Billy Albone has signed to be the Velocity Motorsport Junior Max driver completing the teams 2009 line up.
Velocity go into collaboration with Tonykart - Jan 2009
Velocity are proud to announce that its 2008 Junior Max driver Bill Cowley is to race with the official UK Tony kart team for the 2009 season. The move sees a collaboration between Tonykart and Velocity where driver Bill will carry out much of the testing and development work and feed information into both teams. Velocity will be helping Bill through the 2009 season along with Billy Albone the offical Velocity Junior Max driver. Cowley will recieve assistance from Velocity personnel and will run under a combination Velocity / Tony kart colour scheme.
Harrison showing good winter form - Feb 2009
Velocity Minimax driver Nathan Harrison is showing steady progress throughout the winter months. Nathan has not been out of the top six since the completion of the 2008 super 1 session, finishing 2nd twice at the Shenington club meetings and recently racing excellently in the freezing snowy conditions at PFI finishing 2nd again. The team are making steady process towards its collective goals of the 2009 Super 1 championship.
Byrne Battles his way through - Feb 2009
New Velocity signing Joe Byrne showed great resolve after a difficult day at the recent PF club meeting. A gritty drive saw him move from the back of the A final grid and finish seventh a good result considering most of the race was completed with an iced over visor. The team hopes for better condiitons to further Joes progress at the Whilton Mill club meeting at the end of February where the teams preparations for the Super1 session start in earnest.
